How to Recharge Another Telenor Number Online

Last month my chachu called me from his shop — his Telenor balance had died right in the middle of an important call, and the nearest easyload shop was a fifteen-minute walk away. I laughed, told him to sit tight, and recharged his number from my couch in under two minutes. He thought I’d performed some kind of magic.

If you’ve got parents, kids, or anyone in the family who still walks to the shop for load, this one’s for you. Recharging someone else’s Telenor number online takes barely a minute, works at 2 AM when every shop in the mohalla is closed, and you don’t need anything fancier than the apps already on your phone.

When does this actually come in handy?

More often than you’d think. Your mother runs out of balance and doesn’t use banking apps. Your kid needs load for their weekly data bundle. A relative is travelling and their balance dies on the road. Or you’re the designated “tech person” of the family and everyone calls you instead of the shop. In all these cases, topping up their number yourself is faster than explaining the process over the phone — for the tenth time.

Small business owners do this too: keeping two or three staff numbers topped up through your own phone saves everyone a trip.

The one thing to get right before you pay

Type the recipient’s number twice. I mean it — one wrong digit and your money lands on a stranger’s SIM, and getting it back is a proper headache (though not impossible — more on that below). If someone dictated the number to you, read it back to them. Better yet, copy-paste it straight from your contacts so there’s no chance of a typo.

Also, make sure the number is actually a Telenor number. If it’s Jazz or Zong, the recharge options below won’t work for it — each operator only tops up its own SIMs. A quick way to check: Telenor numbers start with 034x. If you’re recharging your own number, the process is nearly identical — the screens are the same, only the number changes.

Method 1 — Recharge through the My Telenor App

The My Telenor App isn’t just for your own number. You can recharge any Telenor number from it, and the payment comes from your linked bank card or account. Here’s the drill:

  1. Open the My Telenor App and log in to your own account.
  2. Go to the recharge or top-up section.
  3. You’ll see your own number pre-filled — tap it and replace it with the other person’s Telenor number.
  4. Choose the amount you want to send.
  5. Pay with your linked card or bank account and confirm.

You’ll get a confirmation SMS, and the other person gets their balance almost instantly — usually within a minute. One tip: if the app ever feels slow or shows odd figures, don’t panic. Balance display glitches are common and usually fix themselves; the actual recharge goes through fine.

Since you’re making payments through the app, keep it locked — a PIN or fingerprint lock on the My Telenor App takes ten seconds to set up and saves you from real trouble if your phone ever ends up in someone else’s hands.

Method 2 — Recharge through your bank’s app

This is my personal favourite for bigger amounts, because bank apps give you a proper receipt you can screenshot and keep. Nearly every Pakistani bank app has a “Mobile Top-Up” or “Prepaid Recharge” option tucked under payments or transfers:

  1. Open your bank app and find Mobile Top-Up (sometimes under “Payments”).
  2. Select Telenor as the operator.
  3. Enter the recipient’s number and the amount.
  4. Confirm with your transaction PIN or the OTP your bank sends.

The amount is debited straight from your bank account. Keep the receipt until the other person confirms the balance arrived — on the rare occasion something goes wrong, that transaction reference is exactly what customer care will ask for.

Method 3 — Easypaisa or JazzCash

No bank account? No problem. Both mobile wallets let you recharge any Telenor number, and millions of people already have one of them installed:

  1. Open Easypaisa or JazzCash and go to Mobile Load or Top-Up.
  2. Pick Telenor as the network, type the other person’s number, and choose the amount.
  3. Confirm — the money comes out of your wallet balance.

And if you’d rather do it the old-school way through a retailer, just read the number out to the shopkeeper twice and don’t leave the counter until you see the confirmation SMS. That’s the entire safety system, and it works.

Sent it to the wrong number? Act fast

It happens to everyone eventually — one slipped digit and your money is sitting on a stranger’s SIM. Don’t just write it off. Call the number right away, explain politely what happened, and ask them to return it. Most people are decent about it.

If that doesn’t work, you’re not out of options: Telenor has a load-reversal process, and our guide explains how to get wrongly sent load back step by step. The sooner you start the process, the better your chances — don’t wait a week and then try.

A quicker habit for regular family top-ups

If you find yourself recharging your mother’s or your kid’s number every single week, there’s an even faster way: you can share balance straight from your own SIM whenever your own balance is healthy. No bank app, no wallet, no OTP — just a quick transfer and done. It’s ideal for small amounts, and the other person doesn’t even need a smartphone. Worth making it your default for the weekly family top-up.

A few safety habits worth keeping

Recharging through official apps is safe, but a little discipline goes a long way:

  • Never recharge through random links in SMS or WhatsApp forwards. Only use the official app, your bank, or your wallet. If a “deal” arrives as a forwarded message, ignore it.
  • Screenshot every confirmation until the other person confirms they received the balance.
  • If a recharge fails but money was deducted, wait a few minutes and check your transaction history before trying again. Double payments are annoyingly common when people retry in a panic.
  • For current bundle options and any charges, check the My Telenor App or call helpline 345 — never trust a random blog (yes, including this one) for today’s prices.

Done in a minute, from anywhere

Once you’ve done it twice, recharging someone else’s number becomes a sixty-second job — faster than walking to the shop, and it works at midnight when every shop in the mohalla has its shutters down. Set it up for the family members who need it most, and you’ll never get another “beta, balance khatam ho gaya” call at an awkward hour again.

And while you’re at it, play today’s Telenor quiz — you might just win back the very balance you gave away.
