How to Check Which Telenor Package Is Active on Your SIM

Last month my cousin was convinced someone had “stolen” his internet. He’d loaded balance, subscribed to a weekly bundle, and three days later his MBs were gone. Turns out nothing was stolen — he’d forgotten he’d activated a small daily bundle weeks earlier, it had quietly renewed twice, and the weekly one he actually wanted was never activated properly. One quick look at his active packages would have saved him the whole drama.

Most of us do this. We subscribe to a package in a hurry — at a shop, through the app, sometimes by accident when tapping through menus — and then never check what’s actually running on the SIM. Then the balance drains, the MBs disappear early, and we blame the network. Here’s how to check exactly which Telenor package is active on your SIM, see when it expires, and spot anything you didn’t sign up for.

Method 1: Check in the My Telenor App (Easiest)

The My Telenor App shows your active bundles right on the home screen, and it’s the most reliable way to see what’s actually on your SIM. Here’s the routine:

  1. Open the My Telenor App and log in with your Telenor number. If you use more than one SIM, make sure you’re looking at the right one — the app lets you switch between numbers, and checking the wrong SIM’s packages is a classic mistake.
  2. On the home screen, look for the section showing your current balance and active bundles. It usually lists your package name with the remaining MBs, minutes and SMS right underneath.
  3. Tap on the package to see the details that actually matter: the exact expiry date and time, how much of each resource is left, and whether it’s set to auto-renew.

That detail screen is the important part. A package that expires tomorrow with 80% of its MBs used tells a very different story than one with three weeks left. If the numbers look off — say you barely used the internet but the MBs are nearly gone — you might have picked an internet package that doesn’t match your usage, and it’s worth switching next time.

Method 2: Call the Helpline (345)

No smartphone, or the app isn’t cooperating? Call 345 from your Telenor SIM and ask the representative to list your active packages and their expiry dates. Keep your CNIC number handy — they may ask for it to verify you’re the SIM owner before sharing account details.

This method takes a few minutes longer than the app, but it has one advantage: the agent can see everything, including old or duplicate subscriptions that sometimes don’t display clearly in the app. If something on your SIM surprises you, ask them directly, “Maine ye subscribe kab kiya tha?” — they’ll usually tell you the activation date and channel.

Method 3: Visit a Telenor Franchise or Retailer

If you’d rather sort it out in person — especially if there’s a billing dispute or a package you can’t identify — walk into any Telenor franchise with your original CNIC. They can pull up your active subscriptions, explain what each one is, and unsubscribe the ones you don’t want on the spot.

This is also the safest route if you suspect someone else activated a package on your number. The franchise staff can verify the activation channel and help you secure the account.

What to Look For Once You Find Your Active Package

Knowing the package name is only half the job. Check these four things every time:

1. The expiry date and time

Weekly and monthly bundles expire at a specific hour, not just “on the day.” Knowing the exact time saves you from subscribing to a new package while the old one still has hours left — a common way people end up paying twice.

2. Remaining MBs, minutes and SMS

Compare what’s left against how long is left. Plenty of time but almost no MBs? You’re on the wrong package size. Lots of MBs but one day left? Don’t top up yet — use what you have.

3. Auto-renewal status

Some bundles renew automatically when they expire, quietly deducting from your balance. If you don’t want that, turn auto-renewal off in the app or ask the helpline to disable it. This single setting is behind a huge number of “my balance disappeared” complaints.

4. Duplicate or overlapping packages

Sometimes two similar bundles run at the same time — a weekly internet package and a hybrid bundle, for example. The SIM uses them in a priority order you can’t control, and one of them usually expires half-used. If you see overlap, let one expire before activating the next.

Found a Package You Never Subscribed To?

It happens more than people admit — a tap on the wrong button in the app, a free trial that converted to paid, or a retailer activating something “helpfully” during a recharge. Don’t panic and don’t just ignore it. Go through your active list, note the package name, and cancel any subscription you didn’t ask for before it renews again.

If a mystery package keeps coming back after you cancel it, that’s the point to call 345 and ask them to check the activation channel. And while you’re at it, make sure your balance is protected from being eaten up by background deductions you never approved.

Make It a Weekly Habit

Here’s the part nobody does but everybody should: check your active packages once a week. It takes thirty seconds in the app. Pick a fixed moment — Sunday morning with chai, whatever works — and glance at what’s active, what’s expiring, and what’s left.

People who do this almost never get surprised by vanishing balance or dead MBs. People who don’t are the ones writing angry posts about the network. The app even sends expiry reminders if you keep its notifications on, so let it do the remembering for you.

Why This Small Check Matters More Than You Think

Your Telenor SIM is quietly running a little subscription business in your pocket, and most billing complaints trace back to packages nobody was watching. The expiry you didn’t know about. The auto-renewal you didn’t switch off. The duplicate bundle eating your balance while you blamed the signals.

Checking your active package isn’t a tech skill — it’s just looking. Open the app, read the list, and you’ll know more about your SIM than ninety percent of users. And while you have the app open anyway, there’s no harm in answering today’s Telenor quiz for a few free MBs.
